Emma J. Kagel is the founder of Bioethics Alliance. A strong thought leader with a background in bioethics and law, she has successfully directed system-wide Clinical Ethics services, standardized site ethics programs across large multi-hospital systems including those with multiple faith-based sponsorships, ranging from Critical Access Hospitals to Level 1 trauma hospitals. Ms. Kagel has over a decade of bedside experience and has served on many hospital and system’s ethics committees. Ms. Kagel currently works in Conflict of Interest and research compliance at Beth Israel Lahey Health and provides COI support to the Harvard Medical Faculty Practice.
Ms. Kagel has spearheaded efforts that employ strategic analysis, creation, and implementation of innovative programs designed to educate key stakeholders -- the community, patients, hospital employees, physicians and executive leadership. She has proven track records of implementing actionable interventions (e.g., an in-house Medical Legal Partnership program) that result in actualizing shared decision-making, cost savings, enhanced quality, and patient-centered clinical care, for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Her efforts address social determinants of health, resulting in significant cost savings of $4.3 million, enhancing the patient experience through reducing distress, achieving positive outcomes with 94% highly satisfied and community reputation through the development of approximately 40 unique community partnerships.
Ms. Kagel is a scholar, educator, and researcher, including keynotes, at both national and international conferences. Ms. Kagel holds a degree in Bioethics from Harvard Medical School and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington School of Law. Ms. Kagel’s areas of legal expertise include health law, child and juvenile welfare, mental health access law, legal services access, ethical care during incarceration, compliance, and disability advocacy. She has worked in nonprofit legal advocacy organizations and has served on state health law boards.

Roberta Driscoll, J.D., M.Bioethics, a member of Bioethics Alliance, formerly was the Director of the Ethics, Risk and Compliance (ERC) at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research. Before joining NIBR, Ms. Driscoll directed the Office of Research Integrity at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) in Boston, Massachusetts, and was responsible for the identification, review and management of all individual and institutional conflict of interest issues, and for responding to allegations of research misconduct, and is currently the Research Integrity Officer for DFCI. While at DFCI, Ms. Driscoll earned a Masters degree in Bioethics at Harvard Medical School.
Ms. Driscoll also holds a juris doctorate and is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts, and maintained a general litigation and appellate practice for over 15 years..

Sid Pereira is a Creative Director who has helped many clients bring their vision to life. Sid always knew he wanted to be in the creative world when he attended LaGuardia High School of Music and Art in New York. He then went on to graduate from the School of Visual Arts with a BA in Advertising and a minor in Graphic Design.
Since then, Sid has worked with non-profit organizations, marketing agencies, advertising firms, and Fortune 500 companies. With a clean, simple, yet bold style, his work has appeared in print, on the web, on television, and on social media.
